For some months now I have been trying to empathize with people who listen to Himmesh.
And i have failed. Anyone out there who can help me help myself and others, my ears are all yours. Please to post comments.
No doubt the guy came up with a brilliant usp - singing through his nose! And it worked in Jamnagar and Jersey and everything in between.
For those who don't know- the voice that you hear on his records is not his real voice. In fact, he does sing normally, not through his nose and his voice is even credible.
He sang on Being... a show on cnn ibn hosted by Anuradha Sengupta. You can probably view the interview on the website.
Nose or no Nose I still need help.

Gravity ! it saved me...
Last morning for the first time in my life I felt the force of gravity! The auto rickshaw that i was travelling to work in swerved off the road(to avoid some non-sensical idiot who appeared out of nowhere) and toppled and slid to a stop two feet behind a truck.
I found my self on the ground in a sitting position shielded from all four sides by the rickshaw which was on it's side.
The driver looked as disoriented as me(poor old man). I managed to haul myself up and looked into the faces of passers by who had come to help/out of curiosity. I didn't know how to get out onto the road and someone sensing my confusion pointed to me the directions to climb out onto the road. Once I was out, in my disoriented state i asked the driver(who refused to look me in the eye-out of guilt or disorientation-i have no clue) if he was okay (to which i got no answer) and remebered to pay him and got into another auto and went my way. Now when i think back i am glad i made the (right) choice of being pro-active and getting out of there rather than being reactive and instigate a mob into God knows what.
I am also thankful I got away with just bruising my ankle.
The only thing i remember from the whole incident is that I was stationary and everything around me was in motion.
John Mayer sings, " Gravity is working against me."
For once I beg to disagree with him.

Flashes of Lives
Flashes of Lives.
Cigarette Smoke.
A gurgling hookah.
Distorted Conversation.
A refreshing observation after a considerable period of house arrest.
Voices in my head.
More precisely around me.
Did I hear 'pseudo'?
Delve deep and consider 'pseudo'.
Many plausible interpretations.
Some even credible.
To the regular erudite dude -- 'fake'
Then again what is not?
A sensitive remark?
There are a good many in the populace,
Still swimming without direction toward the shore,
sitting on the fence- a mere shadow
falling on either side
depending on the setting sun.
A digression.
Something about honesty and infidelity.
Purely antonyms.
Some kind of justification.
Smoke, haziness and the gurgling hookah.
Back to where we were.
